Mitch Marner has been heavily criticized for his play during the Stanley Cup playoffs for years, and the Toronto Sun has just doubled down on this agenda.

The tabloid released their new issue recently, with Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner appearing on the cover with no face, and the caption «The Invisible Leaf» in large text right beside him.

Marner Struggling Again

Marner, who had been the subject of many scathing articles in his playoff career, is off to yet another slow start in their first round matchup against the Boston Bruins.
The star forward has zero points through two games played and sports and -1 rating, leaving Leafs fans wondering if this is yet another season where one of their difference makers disappears at a crucial juncture.
One of Marner's well known playoff blunders came against the Montreal Canadiens, where Marner shot the puck over the glass while the Maple Leafs were already short handed, leading to Montreal Powerplay goal.
The Maple Leafs will need Marner to step up if they want to have a chance at finally besting the Boston Bruins in the playoffs.
