Tyler Bertuzzi Reveals what Made Him Sign for the Maple Leafs
One of the newest members of the Toronto Maple Leafs and former rival Tyler Bertuzzi spoke to Toronto media Monday and reveled why he choose Toronto as his new home.
Tyler Bertuzzi's Reason
Tyler Bertuzzi was looking for 7-year deal in free agency this summer but quickly realized teams were not able to make it work within the salary cap.
The 28-year-old winger switched his approach to a short term deal and had offers on the table including one from Boston.
However he choose the Toronto Maple Leafs as his final destination.
Bertuzzi left many in shock as to why he choose Toronto over other teams.
"I wanted to go to a team that I thought had a great chance to win, and Toronto was top of my list,"

Thats right he believes the Toronto Maple Leafs are the top contenders for the Stanley Cup.
What Bertuzzi Brings
Tyler Bertuzzi much like his uncle Todd Bertuzzi brings grit and toughness to any team they join.
Unlike Todd however Tyler brings a scoring touch to go along his grit and looks to be the Micheal Bunting replacement in Toronto.
Bertuzzi battled through injuries all last season holding him to just 50 games but in those games tallied 8 goals and 30 total points for both the Boston Bruins and Detroit Red Wings.
