Edmonton Oilers veteran forward Corey Perry made a rare move today when he dropped the gloves with Winnipeg Jets defenseman Logan Stanley. He held his own reasonably well against the 6'7" blueliner.

Perry takes on 6'7" defenseman in epic fight

Corey Perry is well known around the NHL for his pest-like antics. He is very good at getting under the skin of his opponents. That being said, he rarely drops the gloves properly. Tonight was different as he went at it with Winnipeg Jets defenseman Logan Stanley.
Corey Perry and Logan Stanley drop the gloves in a heated tilt.
Stanley has a notable size advantage over perry, standing at 6'7" 228 pounds. Perry is no slouch in his own right standing at 6'3", but he deserves some props for taking on a much bigger opponent. Stanley won over the home crowd in Winnipeg, pumping up the fans as he exited the ice following the fight.
Logan Stanley is now beloved by all of Jets nation for taking on Corey Perry.

And he gives the crowd in Winnipeg a little pump up afterward.
Tonight's game is critical for both teams as the Jets are in a heated race for the top position in the central division while the Oilers are trying to unseat the Canucks for an unlikely comeback to win the Pacific. The Jets currently lead 1-0 about half way through the game.
