Mitch Marner has been out of the Leafs lineup for the past seven games while dealing with a lower body injury. There is some light at the end of the tunnel for Leafs fans as Sheldon Keefe just gave a positive update.

Sheldon Keefe held a press conference to update the Leafs and their injuries, it seems like a very positive update for the Leafs roster.
Mitch Marner upgraded to day-to-day. Progressing well, per Keefe.

Morgan Rielly a game-time decision with injury.

Joel Edmundson won't play. He's day to day.

Joseph Woll starts for Leafs.
Even more positive news as Mitch Marner was seen practicing ahead of their game against the Devils. Even though it is unlikely he will play against the Devils it is a great sign to see.
Of note from the Leafs skate:

•Rielly likely out tonight with a minor injury
•Edmundson out with a minor injury
•Samsonov out tonight but expected to practise tomorrow
•Marner may practise soon
•Woll starts tonight
•Giordano eligible to return from concussion
As the Leafs continue to push for the playoffs they have been attempting to find combinations that work without Marner playing beside Auston Matthews. Max Domi has been working on Matthew's right wing but a massive upgrade would be seen when Marner returns.
The Maple Leafs have 12 games remaining on the season and have a comfortable spot in the playoffs, there is time for this team to become fully healthy ahead of the playoffs.
