The Canadiens held their heads up against the Oilers. They came back from a 0-2 deficit to force the overtime. Leon Draisaitl scored in overtime, the 61st game-winning goal of his career. With that goal, he tied Wayne Gretzky at the third rank for most GWG in Oilers' history.

Even if the Oilers won, some fans were angry after the game and a wild brawl occured.
Edmonton Oilers fans who weren't happy after the game lashed out on each other. Several punched were exchanged in a wild brawl, before the people who took part in it ran away.
