The Detroit Red Wings have not been having a great time lately. The team's active six-game losing streak has tensions higher than ever this season. Today's game against the Buffalo Sabres added more evidence to that.

Chiarot Punches Linesman During Scrum With Greenway

The veteran blueliner was at the center of a major brawl this afternoon as the team hosted the Buffalo Sabres. The scrum included many players, but it was largely focused around Chiarot and Sabres forward Jordan Greenway. As the players were still going at it, one of the linesmen tried jumping in the way, accidentally taking a blow from Chiarot in the process.
Ref literally caught the punch that Ben Chiarot was throwing 😅
This is not the first incident involving Chiarot over the past week. Just a few days ago he got into a heated argument with teammate Lucas Raymond as the two players had to be separated during a team practice.
Frustration at Red Wings practice. Ben Chiarot and Lucas Raymond got into at practice and had to be broken up.

Chiarot And Raymond Make Up By Protecting Each Other In Game

Luckily, it seems those hard feelings are over as Chiarot has already come to the defense of the young forward in a game against the Arizona Coyotes. This just shows how the bond between teammates is strong in the world of hockey, even if tensions sometimes reach a breaking point.

Hopefully that will be the end of this drama for the Red Wings as they look to turn things around and re-solidify their playoff position.
