Part of the deal was that Pitlick needed to hit the ice for at least 30 games to secure that coveted 7th-round pick for the Penguins. Yet he spent most of his time in the AHL with the Rockford Icehogs, so that condition went down the drain. The Penguins pretty much gave him away for free.
