Teemu Selanne's son Leevi receives devastating news regarding his hockey career
Today new reports have started to confirm sad news for Teemu Selanne and his family as his son Leevi's hockey career is taking an unexpected turn.
Teemu Selanne is regarded as one of the best forwards of his era in NHL history. After retiring he has been relatively unheard from but has been raising a family. A couple of years ago his son Leevi was given the opportunity to play Division 3 hockey in the United States with Curry College.
After a successful few years in college Leevi Selanne graduated and decided he wanted to pursue a professional hockey career like his father before him. This led Leevi Selanne to sign with Hokki Kajaani in the second division of professional hockey in Finland called Mestis.
Leevi Selanne spent the entire 2023-24 season in Mestis with Hokki Kajaani. In 23 games with the team, he registered 4 total points. Unfortunately today the team confirmed this effort was not up to their standards as they released Leevi Selanne from the organization.

In a post on facebook today Leevi Selanne's team Hoki Kajaani announced he was going to be released from the organization.

Our own parents Samppa Kemppainen and Noa Tuomainen will also represent Hockey in the 2024-2025 season according to their agreements."
