The New York Rangers, once touted as potential Stanley Cup contenders following the high-profile acquisitions of Vladimir Tarasenko and Patrick Kane, found their playoff dreams cut short. The hand dealt by fate saw them ousted by the New Jersey Devils in the initial playoff round, casting a pall of disappointment over the entire team as they face a summer of reflection in the Big Apple. Among those grappling with the abrupt end is the team's prolific scorer, Artemi Panarin, known affectionately as the "Bread Man."

Panarin, when confronted with the question of the team's shortcomings this season, delivered an introspective response:
"To be honest, in the last playoffs, I turned over the puck way too often," Panarin confessed. "This year wasn't as bad, but I'm not here to make excuses. It's a mental thing, and it feels terrible to repeatedly fall short in the playoffs. Each game, I step onto the ice brimming with excitement, ready to give it another shot, but it just doesn't seem to click. I'm not sure why."

With the majority of the Rangers' roster, including Panarin, secured on long-term contracts, the team will be back next season in its current form. The challenge that lies ahead is figuring out the formula to not just make it to the playoffs, but to thrive once they're there, before their championship window closes.
