NHL officially changes the playoffs start date

Commissioner Gary Bettman and the NHL have officially changed the date for the start of the playoffs.

Previously scheduled to start on April 22nd, it was announced that it would rather start on the 20th.

With less than a month remaining to the regular season, fans are eager to see what this year's playoffs has in store. The wait is almost over.
Gary Bettman officially decided to start the playoffs earlier than it was planned.
It was supposed to start on April 22nd, but now, we'll be able to see some playoff action as soon as the 20th.
"Sounds like the NHL will be moving the start date of the playoffs to Saturday April 20th. Originally was the 22nd."
Frank Seravalli shared the official schedule of the coming months:
"April 1-30: NHL celebrates Green Month.
- April 4-14: 2024 IIHF Women's World Championship (Utica, N.Y.)
- April 11-13: NCAA Men's Frozen Four (Xcel Energy Center; St. Paul, Minn.)
- Week of April 15: NHL Central Scouting Final Rankings released
- Thursday, April 18: Final day of the 2023-24 regular season.
- Saturday, April 20: 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs scheduled to begin.
- April 25-May 5: 2024 IIHF Under-18 Men's World Championship (Espoo and Vantaa, Finland)
- TBD: 2024 NHL Draft Lottery"
