The NHL unveiled the official start date of the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs in the Eastern Conference.

This week was filled with action in the NHL. The New York Rangers swept the Washington Capitals, the Carolina Hurricanes beat the New York Islanders, and the Florida Panthers got the upper hand on the Tampa Bay Lightning. Only one series still goes on: the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Boston Bruins will face for a seventh time tomorrow.
We already know that the Hurricanes and the Rangers will face each other, meaning that the Florida Panthers will battle against the Bruins or the Leafs, depending on who wins the next game.
The League announced when we can expect the round two to start. In an official statement, it was revealed that the Hurricanes and the Rangers' series will start on Sunday May 5th, and the Panthers' series against the Leafs or the Bruins will start on Monday.
Per the NHL:
"Sunday, May 5

The Second Round series between the Carolina Hurricanes and New York Rangers will begin on Sunday, May 5, in New York. The start time and national broadcast information for Game 1 will be announced when available.

Monday, May 6

The Second Round series between the Florida Panthers and either the Boston Bruins or Toronto Maple Leafs will begin on Monday, May 6, in Sunrise, Fla. The start time and national broadcast information for Game 1 will be announced when available."
