Before going pro, Wiesblatt was a standout with the WHL's Prince Albert Raiders, helping them win a league title in 2018-19. He posted 58 goals and 179 points in 195 games and served as an alternate captain in his last two seasons. He also represented Canada at the 2019 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, bringing home a silver medal.
