Gudas has already outlined turning down several Canadian teams due to the media and fan pressure and scrutiny, but now, he has gone even further on those comments, claiming a certain policy held him back from going to Canada too.
This week, Gudas elaborated on those comments in an interview with iSport, claiming that the higher tax rate was a major reason he chose California, even if the Ducks are a long way from being a contender.
