The Arizona Coyotes have been linked to potential relocation for some time, and now, that move appears more certain than ever.

Elliotte Friedman reveals the end is near for Arizona

While nothing is set in stone yet, NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman has revealed grave news for Arizona fans, as it appears the team will be sold soon, and ultimately, relocated.
«I think that we are coming to the end of the line with this ownership group, I believe there isn't something hard and fast in place in the very near future. They will begin the process of selling the team or the NHL taking over the team and selling it to someone else, I believe we will get there. I believe one of the reasons you hear the commissioner say nothing negative about them is he knows this could end up in a big legal fight and he doesn't want to say or do anything that will end being used against him»
Following that statement, Frank Seravalli revealed that Suns Owner Mat Ishbia is no longer interested in buying the Coyotes, and unless something changes, it appears there's no one left to keep the team in Arizona.
UPDATE: Told @Suns owner Mat Ishbia is not pursuing the #Yotes. Unless there is another mystery local businessperson interested in buying the team and privately funding it all, that crosses off one of the three options.
With Utah Jazz Owner Ryan Smith intent on bringing the NHL to Salt Lake City, relocation becomes a major possibility, and with news expected soon, this could be the official end of the NHL in Arizona.
