The Boston Bruins faced off against the St. Louis Blues today in St. Louis. As part of the broadcast, Marchand was used in a transition clip in which the Bruins captain appeared to be embarrassed to share a small detail about his childhood.
Marchand Admits Toronto Maple Leafs Were Favorite Team As A Kid
The broadcast featured little transitionary clips where players stated who they were and what their favorite team was as a kid. When it was Brad Marchand's turn to go he clearly was embarrassed to admit that his favorite team as a kid was the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Halifax native would not have had many other options that would make sense for him to be his favorite team as a kid. Halifax does not have an NHL team so most fans in the Eastern seaboard root for either the Leafs or the Canadiens. This did not stop fans from poking fun at Marchand online though.

Marchand will likely have to relive this moment over and over as his teammates will be sure to give him a hard time for it. Perhaps Marchand will take some solace in the fact that the Bruins were able to secure the victory over St. Louis, and he even secured his 900th career NHL point in the process.
