The Boston Bruins continue to defy expectations this season. Despite losing pivotal players this summer, they've remarkably maintained an unbeaten streak six games in.
Recent changes in their lineup suggest they might have bigger plans in store.
In a recent decision, the Bruins have decided to reassign Patrick Brown and Ian Mitchell to their AHL affiliate, Providence. Having already cleared waivers a couple of weeks ago, Brown will move directly to Providence. However, Mitchell will have to get clearance first.
"Sounds like Patrick Brown is being sent to Providence as well with Mitchell, pending waiver clearance. Brown does not need waivers ATM, as he cleared recently. #NHLBruins"
Major Move on the Horizon?
The exclusion of Mitchell and Brown from the Bruins' main squad offers GM Don Sweeney more flexibility for potential trades or signings.
With NHL star Patrick Kane expected to make a comeback soon, is Boston setting the stage for his return? Other notable free agents in the market include Jonathan Toews, Josh Bailey, Oscar Klefbom, Jake Gardiner, Jesse Puljujarvi, Nick Ritchie, and Ethan Bear.
Both fans and analysts are eagerly awaiting the Bruins' next move!
