The Bruins will need a replacement for Patrice Bergeron when he retires and they look to be eyeing an Oilers forward to take his place.
Bruins going after Oilers Star forward this offseason
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins just had a career year. Scoring 37 goals and 104 points, he has just crossed the 100-point plateau for the first time in his career. While this number is inflated from playing alongside Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, 104 points are still 104 points.
Because of this production, the Bruins appear to be targeting Nugent-Hopkins to bolster their top six after Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci retire.
With the Bruins being interested in Nugent-Hopkins, they will be willing to part with somebody of huge value. One of these players is 2010 first-overall pick, Taylor Hall.
This could send a talented player back to Edmonton. In addition to this, the Oilers could target a defenseman like Brandon Carlo to bolster their blue line.
