While the trade rumours surrounding Calgary focused mainly on their group of UFA's with Chris Tanev, Noah Hanifin and Elias Lindholm, now, reports have emerged that Jacob Markstrom may be available.

Contenders in need of major goaltending help
This doesn't confirm that both Calgary and Markstrom are preparing for a deal, but it gives validity to the reports that teams have been in contact with the Flames about a potential deal.
In 2023-24, Markstrom has bounced back fantastically, posting a 2.62 GAA and a .910 save percentage, and given how great he's been for Calgary as of late, posting a .929 save percentage in his past five games, he's certainly making a case for a top contender to come chasing.
