In one of the oddest press conferences we've seen throughout this year's playoffs, Hurricanes Head Coach Rod Brind'Amour claimed his team wasn't swept despite losing all four games in the Eastern Conference Final.
Well, this isn't something you hear every day.
As Rod Brind'Amour wrapped up the Hurricanes' season with his post-game presser, he made some interesting comments about the Hurricanes getting swept, or rather, not getting swept.

"That's the unfortunate part of this, (people are) going to look back and everyone's going to say you got swept. That's not what happened. I watched the game. I'm there. I'm cutting the game. We're in the game... it could have been four games the other way." - Rod Brind'Amour
By definition, a sweep in hockey is when one team wins the first four games of a playoff series, and that's exactly what happened. While Rod may not think his team's effort is reflective of that, they lost all four games, and are now eliminated.
While it can be easy for fans to point fingers, there are more factors than the players' performances. Some could say Brind'Amour didn't coach his team like a playoff team, while others could blame GM Don Waddell for not going all in at the trade deadline.
The fact is, this Florida Panthers team has upset three powerhouse teams now, and is en route to a potential Stanley Cup win. Carolina couldn't stop them, Toronto couldn't stop them, and the President Trophy-winning Boston Bruins couldn't.
