During his sophomore year in the league, he attained career highs in goals, assists, points, and games played. However, his struggle was visible in maintaining his health, as he could only play a total of 66 games in a single season.

Kase has been seen in action only once with the Carolina Hurricanes, where he spent less than 15 minutes on the field. Tragically, this brief appearance could potentially mark the end of his professional hockey career.
In this singular game, Kase suffered a concussion and has been in relatively poor health ever since. This is not a new issue for him, as concussions have always persistently troubled his hockey ability and talent , seriously impacting his performance and wellbeing.
Prior to his stint with the Hurricanes, Kase had played 50 games with the Leafs during the 2021-22 season, marking 14 goals and 27 points. After that season, he moved to Carolina.
