After a long road trip, Connor Bedard and the Blackhawks have returned to Chicago, and the young star is taking full advantage of the opportunity on home ice.
An absolute beauty
After five straight road games, the Blackhawks are back at home, and early in the first period, Bedard made his mark in front of a packed crowd with this fantastic release.
Less than two minutes into the game, Bedard got the puck all alone, and with his beautiful release, he stepped up and put it straight past the Golden Knights goaltender Adin Hill, sending the Chicago crowd into a frenzy.
A great start
In his first five games on the road against some tough competition, Bedard has tallied one goal and three points, but now he's added a second goal to put the team up 1-0, as they now sit in the first intermission tied at 1-1.
Sure, he's not got two points a game like some fans hyped him up to do, but four points in his first six games is a stellar start considering the lack of talent on this Blackhawks team, and if he keeps it up, this will be a Calder season for the ages.
