The Colorado Avalanche easily defeated the Chicago Blackhawks 5-0 on Thursday night, making the contest quite one-sided. It was clear from the broadcast that Connor Bedard was being singled out and agitated throughout the evening by the Avalanche players tasked to shut him down.

Connor Bedard Visibly Frustrated with his treatment Thursday night

Bedard is always a target when teams play the Chicago Blackhawks, and even though the Avalanche are a top team, they still want to make sure he has a rough game as they want to come away with the win. Bedard had a frustratingly poor performance on Thursday night.
In addition to having one shot, two hits, and an interference call against him, Bedard's plus minus rating was -3. While the official was watching, Josh Manson also slashed his arm, but that was not called. Bedard was visibly agitated at the referee and let him have it later.

Bedard made his way back to the bench and let the referee know how unhappy he was with him. Not to mention slamming the bench door repeatedly. Later in the game, he got into it with Manson again and wasn't afraid to confront him.

The Avalanche walked away with the easy victory Thursday night

With the Blackhawks being shutout on Thursday no one registered a point for them. Instead it was the Colorado show, with recent signee Zach Parise leading the way with two goals and one assist. Nathan MacKinnon and Cale Makar each recorded two points each as well.
