Sunday night's matchup between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Detroit Red Wings truly felt like a passing of the torch moment from Patrick Kane to Connor Bedard. What was great, even, was how competitive the two players were. Bedard didn't let up on Kane, throwing a big hit on the veteran during the game.
After, Patrick Kane had some comments on the play, making light of the situation and jokingly saying that he would have went after Bedard if it weren't for the bubble.
Kane had such an illustrious career for the Blackhawks, that it was weird seeing him in another jersey back in Chicago. One thing is for sure, the NHL scriptwriters were busy, as Kane scoring the game-winning goal in overtime is almost too perfect of an ending to the game.
