Sean Higgins brutally ran over Johnny Gaudreau and his brother last night and was arrested. He has now issued a statement regarding the situation.

According to a recent report by the 6ABC Network, the details of that accident, which took the life of Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew Gaudreau, are really shocking. The driver Sean Higgins, who was under the influence of alcohol, and the one responsible for their death, has broken his silence, and police have released his statement in the aftermath of the fatal incident.
The officer who arrived at the scene detected 'a strong odor of alcohol' on his breath, according to the criminal complaint obtained by the Post.

Higgins reportedly told the officer that he had consumed 'five to six beers' before the fatal accident. He also admitted that he thought the SUV was trying to block his way, and his alcohol consumption exacerbated his impatience and reckless driving.

"Higgins failed a sobriety test at the scene", police said.

- New York Post
The statement said that Higgins told police he had five or six beers and was actively drinking while driving. Hard to believe that in 2024, these kinds of incidents still occur. He now faces two counts of vehicular manslaughter which could lead to over 20 years in prison and two fines of up to $200,000 each.
"The New Jersey resident failed a breathalyzer test at the scene of the accident, according to New Jersey media, confirming that his alcohol consumption contributed to his impatience and dangerous driving."

Sean Higgins was blatantly upset, not because he had just ended the lives of two human beings, but because he was going to be held in jail until next week due to the long weekend extending the usual 72-hour hold period. People couldn't believe he had absolutely no remorse for what he did, proving how much of a bad person he truly was.
Johnny Gaudreau is survived by his wife Meredith and their two young children, Noa, 1, and Johnny, 6 months. This is just devastating, words cannot even begin to describe.
