Connor Bedard will be one of the stories of the 2023-24 NHL season, as his arrival has been hyped for years now, and with the Blackhawks being at the very start of a rebuild, he will be their saviour for years to come.
Levels to the NHL game
Despite all his talent, skill and poise, there's a chance he won't step in immediately at the NHL level and be a superstar, and in a viral video, Oilers superstar Connor McDavid proves that there's levels to this.
While Bedard did a drill incredibly well, McDavid stepped up and notched it up tenfold, showing the young standout superstar that he's still got a ways to go before being a top star in the league.
Chicago's saviour?
Still, Bedard as he always does looked mighty impressive, and with a young team around him in Chicago, the team will be desperate for him to live up to the considerable hype he's built.
In two seasons and 119 games with the Regina Pats, Bedard has amassed an incredible 122 goals and 243 points, but now as the focal point of the team in Chicago, he will be tested like never before, so we will know soon enough just how good he can be.
