Evander Kane chirps the Calgary Flames during Heritage Classic

The NHL hosted an outdoor game last night between the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames. The Oilers ended up winning by a score of 5-2 after a multi-faceted spectacular performance from Evander Kane.
The Oilers have had a bit of a slow start to the season but this game could turn into a meaningful turning point for them. Kane was mic'd up last night and it paid off dividends for us media people to feast on.
An example of this was during a scrum between both teams, Kane let it be known that he thinks the Flames are soft:
What are you going to do? What is anybody here going to do?

Kane had an all-around dominating performance

In what may be considered one of the greatest single-game performances of Kane's career, he put up a goal and two assists, along with six shots, six hits, one shot block, four penalty minutes, and a +3 rating. The Oilers likely couldn't have won the all-important rivalry game without him. The team now sit in 6th place in the Pacific Division and hope to feed off this energy and go on a run.
