Connor McDavid reveals his real reaction to the St. Louis Blues offer sheets

A few days ago, Robert Thomas of the St. Louis Blues revealed in an interview that he was alongside Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and multiple Oilers members when they learned about the Blues' offer sheets to Holloway and Broberg.

At the time, Thomas revealed that the players "weren't too happy" about it, but Connor McDavid wanted to set the record straight.

In a new interview, he revealed that he saw Thomas' comments and thought they were "pretty funny." He went on to say that he wasn't angry, but more surprised.

Leon Draisaitl added that he and McDavid "weren't sitting there pouting like little babies."

Broberg and Holloway were expected to be important assets in the Oilers' future, and their departure was a surprise for McDavid and Draisaitl.

It wouldn't have been surprising to learn that they were angry upon hearing the news, as it's never easy parting ways with teammates and friends, especially after a run to the Stanley Cup Finals, where everyone on the team creates relationships that last a lifetime.
