Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl has finally addressed fans roughly three weeks following the heartbreaking game 7 loss against the Florida Panthers.
Draisaitl thanked the fans for their support throughout the season and deep into the playoff run. He had a reassuring tone, letting fans know that they need to believe in the team as he feels they have what it takes to win it all next season.

Fans will have likely felt reassured after hearing Draisaitl's comments, as many began to worry that his future with the team was in jeopardy. Draisaitl does only have one year left on his contract, however all signs are pointing to him being committed to the team and fans, and wanting to remain here long-term.
Leon did get engaged to Celeste Desjardins recently, which could also be an indirect sign that he has no plans to go anywhere other than Edmonton for a very long time.
