Reports coming out today are revealing that the Montreal Canadiens and Detroit Red Wings are about to pull the trigger on a massive four-player trade.
🚨 NHL Rumor Alert! 🚨 Rumors are swirling about a potential blockbuster deal between the RedWings and Habs! 🏒
It is believed that the players Montreal would be sending to Detroit are Jake Evans and Joel Armia, while the Wings would be saying goodbye to Joe Veleno and Justin Holl. Talk about a lot of J's! The Wings just missed the playoffs last season by the skin of their teeth, and adding a potent forward such as Armia is exactly what could propel them in next season.

Veleno was drafted in the first round back in 2018, the year he received the title of "exceptional status" in the juniors. Unfortunately for the Red Wings, he hasn't been able to live up to that title yet, and a change of scenery could be exactly what he needs. Montreal also needs more grit, which is definitely what Veleno brings.

Things are starting to heat up off the ice for both these teams, but one thing's for sure, the pot has been stirred, and something major is brewing over the coming weeks.
