NHL insider Frank Seravalli believes that Evander Kane's days with the Edmonton Oilers may be numbered. The power forward has seemingly worn out his welcome with the team yet again.
Kane's relationship with the Oilers has slowly been deteriorating this season. Recently, he was a healthy scratch after he was seen arguing with Leon Draisaitl on the Oiler's bench in a 6-3 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Furthermore, Kane has out up one of the worst seasons of his career this season, at least according to analytics models.
As I, Rono, said a few months ago, Evander Kane has not been as good this season as should be. I wasn't surprised he was only a healthy scratch in the last game.
Kane has 21 goals and 39 points in 68 games with the Oilers this season. However, he's been particularly bad defensively, much like the rest of the team. Additionally, his off-ice concerns have seemingly caused a rift in the Oilers Locker room. According to Frank Serravalli, his welcome with the Oilers is all but gone at this point.
