As a former pick in the top five, Bennett himself had a great post-season with 14 points (7G, 7A) in 19 games played. He is in his final year with the Panthers so the rumors can start to spin about him making a homecoming trip to play not just back in Canada, but with the Leafs.
While Bennett is back home for the summer in Holland Landing, Ontario he sat down the TSN First Up 1050 to discuss his type of playing style but the conversation led to the Maple Leafs and how he grew up not far from Toronto. Bennett commented about the fans when they see him around this summer.
Outside of the playoffs, Bennett was limited in his playing time due to injury this last season but managed 20 goals and 41 total points. His numbers may not stand out as a top player, but he is well known for doing what it takes to win.
