Wild Center To Have Hearing For Dirty Play On Alex DeBrincat
The Minnesota Wild have been quite disappointing this year. They've gotten some of the worst goaltending in the league and star winger Krill Kaprizov has not been performing to his typical standard. Now they could be without their first line center as Ryan Hartman has gotten a hearing scheduled from the NHL's Department of Player Safety after he slew-foot Alex DeBrincat.

The play came late in the 3rd period with less than ten minutes to go. The Red Wings were attempting to enter the Wild zone when Hartman came from behind and stuck his right leg out to trip up Red Wings forward Alex Debrincat.

In typical NHL fashion, Hartman was not called for the penalty. Debrincat was eventually called for cross-checking as a retaliation penalty.

Typically speaking, a hearing being assigned means that the player will face a minimum of a one-game suspension. However, it seems hard to rationalize such a move just a day after Jacob Trouba only got a fine for one of the most blatant attempts to injure another player in recent years. Many fans were quick to criticize the league for the decision in Trouba's case.
You can't even defense how BAD of a look this is for #NYR Jacob Trouba and the fact he doesn't get a SUSPENSION is an absolute disgrace
Hartman has been a key contributor to the Wild despite the team's lack of success this year. He has 7 goals and 11 points though 18 games.
