Marc-André Fleury's retirement has been confirmed

After stating the 2024-2025 NHL season would be his last at the end of the 2023-2024 season, Marc-André Fleury has confirmed his statement.
The goaltender, who currently plays for the Minnesota Wild, has enjoyed a wildly successful NHL career, winning three Stanley Cups as a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Fleury confirmed that he would be retiring at the end of the 24-25 NHL season.
Fleury cemented himself as an all time great when he passed Patrick Roy in wins, putting him in second place, only behind the legendary Martin Brodeur.

Along with Minnesota and Pittsburgh, Fleury has also suited up for the Vegas Golden Knights, and the Chicago Blackhawks, making it all the way to the Stanley Cup Final with the Golden Knights.
While Fleury's career will be celebrated around the league, Minnesota is looking to bounce back and return to the playoffs, meaning Fleury will be focused on being the best version of himself he can be during his final season.
While Fleury may not be able to fully enjoy his final NHL season, fans around the league will join in celebrating him, in what has been an incredible career in the best hockey league in the world.
