The Rangers and Hurricanes are going to war in round two of the Stanley Cup Finals, but it appears one player may be taking it much further than others.

Locked in a classic affair in game two of their series, captain Jacob Trouba attempted to make a major impact when he looked to get physical with Martin Necas. Fortunately for everyone involved, Necas was able to avoid the contact, because if he didn't, we could have been looking at some brutal consequences for both players.
Whether incidental or not, it was clear that Trouba was going to elbow Necas right in the head if he had made contact, and a day later, the Hurricanes forward has reacted to the play when asked about what Trouba's intentions were.
I don't know, elbow me in the head

With all of the attention that Matt Rempe has gotten this year, it's distracted most from the type of player that Trouba is, especially in the playoffs, and while he's delivered plenty of clean hits, this certainly wasn't going to be one of them. After the ‘Canes go back and look at the footage, it's safe to say that they won't be very happy with what went down, and with games three and four taking place in Carolina, you can bet it's going to be a huge reaction to Trouba from both the team and the fans.
