John Tortorella Caught Berating Flyers Rookie On The Bench After Goal Against
The Flyers are in a unique position this year as they could be selling at the deadline despite being in a playoff position. However, their loss against the Capitals yesterday could go a long way in pushing themselves out of the playoff race. This may be why John Tortorella was so upset when one rookie made a big mistake.
Capitals Secure Major Win Against Flyers
The game was tied at 2 late in the second period. With the Capitals closing on the Flyers in the standings, the game was critical for both teams. Then the capitals scored, giving them a lead the team would not give up for the rest of the game.

Notably, Flyers rookie forward
Bobby Brink was essentially doing nothing to prevent this goal until it was too late. The Capitals would not relinquish the lead as they did not give up another goal in the game, going on to win 5-2.
John Tortorella apparently was not too happy about Brink's effort on the play that turned the tide in the game.
Tortorella Seen Screaming At Rookie Forward Against Capitals
As Brink was skating back to the bench following the goal, Torts could be seen laying into him. He was really telling the 22-year-old forward everything that was on his mind about the play, something the coach is not afraid to do.
the NHLPA needs to step in at this point
Brink did have some good moments in the game though, including the opening goal to give the Flyers the 1-0 lead.
This was not enough for Torts though as the rookie did not get a shift in the 3rd period. He played just under 10 minutes in the entire game.
