After the highest of highs for the Seattle Kraken in their second year as a franchise making the playoffs and eliminating the reigning champs in the Avalanche, year three has provided a glimpse of scary times in Seattle after finishing 24th in the NHL league standings, failing to make the playoffs.

The odd man out has finally been decided, head coach Dave Hakstol has been fired for the first time in Seattle Kraken history.
The search for a new coach has begun, and NHL insider Jordan Schmaltz has stirred some speculation linking Carolina Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind'Amour in a potential reunion with GM Ron Francis.
Certainly surprising to the outside for sure. But here's the thing Ronny Franchise Francis is going to make a helluva effort to bring in his boy Rod The Bod who is coaching #CauseChaos on an expiring deal currently with no contract extension in place. My guess Seattle throws the bag💰 at Brind'Amour at a number // term Carolina owner Thomas Dundon isn't comfortable matching. Something to keep an eye on.. 👀👀

It sounds like a crazy scenerio however it makes sense. RBA is currently entering the final year of his deal as Canes head coach, and it would no doubt make him the richest coach in the NHL shall he head out west to Seattle.
Interesting coaching carousel yet again this off-season.
