In a surprising move, Brad Treliving and the Toronto Maple Leafs have just signed this big left-handed defenseman mid-season.
In breaking news earlier today, the Toronto Maple Leafs announced that they had acquired a new defenseman. However, this wasn't what many were expecting, as speculation that the Leafs are going to trade for a veteran right-handed d-man has been running wild over the last few weeks.
Instead, the Leafs have announced that they have signed Noah Chadwick to an entry-level deal.

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that the hockey club has signed defenceman Noah Chadwick to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Chadwick was the Leafs 6th round pick in last years' NHL entry draft, and is having a great year this year with 7 goals and 17 assists for the Lethbridge Hurricanes (WHL).
Leafs Will Still Need to Address Defensive Issues Now
The signing is a great move for the Leafs' future on the Blueline, however, they are still in need of some backup for this season if they want to be a contender. With the trade deadline slowly approaching, we will see which other, veteran, defenseman Brad Treliving can bring in.
