A few weeks ago, the Toronto Maple Leafs lost the services of their assistant-coach Spencer Carbery to the Washington Capitals.
Now, the search for a replacement has started and a Treliving found a potential great candidate, but he declined the job.
Travis Green, former head coach of the Vancouver Canucks, reportedly declined to work for the Maple Leafs as well as the Calgary Flames to join the New Jersey Devils.
"There is word Travis Green will join New Jersey's staff in the position vacated by Andrew Brunette. Green had several options - believed to include Calgary and Toronto, and chose the Devils."
The Search Continues
The Leafs are still trying to find Carbery's successor and a few candidates have emerged.
"Jeff Marek on 32TP: I don't know how far the Maple Leafs are along in that process of trying to find the next assistant coach to replace Spencer Carbery, but those are three [Karl Taylor, Todd Nelson, Mitch Love] that I had conversations about over the weekend."
Who do you think the Leafs will hire to be their assistant-coach?
