During an episode of '32 Thoughts: The Podcast', hockey insider Elliotte Friedman offered some insight into the candidates under consideration. According to him, the Leafs have already interviewed Brad Treliving, former Calgary Flames GM, in-person.
Additionally, a virtual interview with Marc Bergevin, ex-Montreal Canadiens GM, and conversations with Doug Wilson, former San Jose Sharks GM, have taken place. Furthermore, Friedman teased about a mystery interviewee whose identity has not been disclosed yet.
He also suggested that the clandestine interviewee is unlikely to be Peter Chiarelli, Mark Hunter or Jason Botterill.
