John Tavares Hits a New Low After Last Night's Loss to the Canucks

The Toronto Maple Leafs lost a tough battle to one of the NHL's best teams this year the Vancouver Canucks. This has brought up questions about the Leafs' ability to win important games.

What's worse, for Captain John Tavares, is the continuation of his pointless streak. He failed to record a point last night, which resulted in a career-long 8-game pointless streak for Tavares.

Tavares, who started the year incredibly hot, has 34 points in 44 games this season thus far. However, it seems he has slowed down, at a point where the Leafs are struggling to close out games.

The frustrations of losing and the pointless streak set in as the game against the Canucks came to a close last night. After battling back from a 3-0 deficit to tie the game 3-3, the Leafs ultimately dropped the game 6-4. Tavares let some of his anger out as the game was in the final minutes, taking on the Canucks Tyler Myers in a scrum.

The Leafs have an opportunity to wipe this from their memory as they take on the Seattle Kraken in the second half of a back-to-back. Tavares will look to end this pointless streak, and hopefully get the Leafs back in the win column.
