Morgan Rielly Hits Mitch Marner With a Shot that Leads To Heated Exchange
During yesterday's Leaf practice, Morgan Rielly took a high shot that happened to hit Mitch Marner in front of the net. Marner took some of his anger out by shooting the puck around the boards after the play, but that wasn't enough.
Marner and Rielly proceeded to get into a heated argument on the side boards after the incident. The two then clarified what happened when asked about it after the fact.
"We're not getting into that, are we? There's nothing. I'm joking with him all day," Marner insisted. "Nothing happened. It was fine. We were joking and having fun with each other, that's what we do."

"No I'm not, I'm going to answer it, No one was mad at all."
Rielly and Marner Both On Quietly Impressive Seasons
Rielly and Marner are both quietly having incredible seasons, as much of the attention has been focused on William Nylander. Rielly has recorded 15 points in 17 games, with an even more impressive +7 rating, considering the amount of ice time he logs.
Mark Giordano is determined to get Morgan Rielly more recognition:
«I'm heavy on the Mo campaign right now. I don't think he gets enough credit for what he does»
Marner, who has had a slower year goal-wise, has steadily performed with his signature playmaking ability. He has recorded 20 points in 17 games, 15 of those being assists.
The Leafs hope to continue their success against the Blackhawks in today's Black Friday game.
