The Toronto Maple Leafs are going to have a very busy offseason. Re-tooling the team to yet again make another playoff run next year.
New Proposed Trade Emerges
Anthony Beauvillier, a previous first-round selection, has rediscovered his form during his tenure in Toronto this year. Regularly contributing approximately half a point per match and excelling in defense, Beauvillier has proven himself to be an exceptional asset for any top-six formation.
Given the impending departure of Michael Bunting, Beauvillier stands a solid chance of stepping into his position quite seamlessly. His energetic style of play is compatible with Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner, and his defensive prowess would complement Marner, who is a finalist for the Selke trophy.
In this hypothetical exchange, the Leafs would deal TJ Brodie and a first-round draft pick originally belonging to Boston, and in return, they would acquire a fourth-round draft pick from Vancouver and Anthony Beauvillier.
