The Toronto Maple Leafs have been among trade rumours for the entirety of Brad Treliving's short tenure as GM thus far, and now, those talks only begin to grow.
An interesting viewer
While the Maple Leafs were busy welcoming Connor Bedard and the media hype train recently, it was someone looking on in the crowd that caught the attention of eagle eyed viewers.
#stlblues GM Doug Armstrong taking in tonight's Hawks/Leafs game
According to a report, the GM of the St. Louis Blues, Doug Armstrong was in attendance for the game, and given the needs of these teams, they could make for very interesting trade partners.
A blockbuster deal coming?
While the Blues weren't a team linked to William Nylander, that doesn't mean a trade here doesn't make sense, as the Leafs need a massive upgrade defensively, which could work out for both parties.
Ultimately, these types of rumours will persist around the Leafs until they can make a big move, but with Colton Parayko and Justin Faulk drawing interest, the Leafs could be a team very interested in that deal.
