In anticipation of tonight's game against the Minnesota Wild Ryan Reaves had some fascinating words to his former teammates in Minnesota.
Reaves Returns To Minnesota
Ryan Reaves spent most of last season with the Minnesota Wild after being acquired from the New York Rangers. In 61 games Reaves had 15 points and 31 penalty minutes. Reaves was a big part of the depth for the Wild last season.
Now Reaves finds himself in Toronto and facing his former team for the first time since his departure. In an interview prior to the game, Reaves has dropped some hints on how he plans to approach the game against his former teammates.
Reaves Sends A Warning To Former Teammates
During his media availability before the game tonight against the Minnesota Wild Ryan Reaves had some interesting comments and a warning for his former team.
Ryan Reaves, ahead of facing his former Minnesota team today:
«Sometimes when you're better friends with them, you want to lay them out a little more. Unfortunately for them, I became pretty good friends with all of them.»
Reavo truly a 1-of-1
Reaves already has one fight under his belt for the Maple Leafs this season and tonight could lead to his second. The Wild have several tough forward willing to fight such as Marcus Foligno. If Reaves is planning to lay out the Wild he may have to answer for his big hits with more physicality.
The Leafs will look to build on their win against the Montreal Canadiens tonight in game number 2.
