Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe has indicated a big roster move is coming with Max Domi moving down the lineup for Monday's contest against the Blackhawks.
Domi Gets Demoted
Sheldon Keefe indicated that Max Domi would be on the Leaf's third line against Chicago on Monday. Keefe cited offensive inadequacies as the reason for bumping the winger down a line.
"My focus with Max is how he manages the puck offensively. If you don't take care of puck offensively you have to defend that much more. We want to do a better job when we lose the puck, but in Max's case it's how he can keep his group on offence more."
Calle Jarnkrok was the beneficiary of this move as he has been bumped up to the second line in the spot previously held by Domi. The Team's third line will now consist of Domi alongside rookies Matthew Knies and Frasier Minten.
