The Toronto Maple Leafs have just given a huge update on Joseph Woll's injury status and his timeline for a potential return.
Sheldon Keefe Gives Major Update on Joseph Woll
The Leafs have been going through it when it comes to goaltending, trying everything to see what sticks. Joseph Woll, who was getting some time earlier this season as a result of Ilya Samsonov's struggles, unfortunately, experienced a hiccup when he went down with an ankle injury back in December.
Now, it appears Woll is making major steps in his recovery. Sheldon Keefe has revealed that Woll will be travelling with the team on their upcoming four-game road trip.

This is a major step in Woll's recovery, as it means that he will continue to be part of team events and activities while on the road. Woll has recently started skating and is roughly 5 weeks into his recovery.
Leafs Goaltending At A Turning Point Right Now
It's safe to say that the Toronto Maple Leafs are at a turning point when it comes to goaltending. Martin Jones has been solid in the last few games for the Leafs but was meant to be a safety valve. The biggest question remaining is Ilya Samsonv. After a good performance in his return with the team last night, it remains to be seen if he can return back to the goaltender he was last season.
The Leafs will need to answer that question soon and have their goaltending situation figured out, as the stretch of the season approaches.
