After many months of uncertainty, Leafs fans can rest easy knowing their favourite announcers will be back, as Joe Bowen and Jim Ralph have signed on again.

When the Toronto Maple Leafs were eliminated by the Florida Panthers on May 12, Joe Bowen and Jim Ralph said their goodbyes to Leaf Nation, in the event that they would not be returning. After much speculation, they have finally come to an agreement on a new contract, and Leafs fans cannot be more happy.
Not going anywhere!!! Ralphie and I are back in October!!
Bowen is a 72-year-old Hall of Fame broadcaster who has been calling games on the radio and TV since 1982. In order to save money, Bowen and Ralph were calling games from the studios in Toronto, rather than have them travel with the team on the road. This began since the Covid pandemic, and finally ended when they were allowed to travel with the team to Florida for the playoffs this past season.
Random Leafs highlight: Tyler Bozak scores the overtime winner to give Toronto a 2-1 lead over the Capitals in the 2017 playoffs. Included is Joe Bowen's amazing call of the goal.
Don't worry Leafs Nation, you will get a chance to hear magical calls like this one again for at least another season, and maybe more. Here's hoping the team can make a magically deep run in the playoffs, with Bowie and Ralphie by their side every step of the way.
