Mitch Marner has been absent from the Maple Leafs lineup in the past few games, and it appears as though a return isn't imminent for their superstar winger.
Marner to miss Toronto's next two games
The original hope after Marner suffered an injury against the Boston Bruins was that he would return for the St. Patrick's Day clash with the Carolina Hurricanes, but unfortunately, that's not the case.
Now, Head Coach Sheldon Keefe has revealed that No. 16 will be absent from the teams next two games, with no guarantee of a return after road battles with the Flyers and Capitals.
Sheldon Keefe said Mitch Marner, dealing with a high ankle sprain, won't join the team for the next two games.
He also mentioned Ilya Lyubushkin is unwell and likely out for tomorrow's game against Philly.

With Marner out of the lineup, Toronto have tried Pontus Holmberg on the first line, and while the goal-scoring ability of Auston Matthews can make up for the loss in the regular season, this team need Marner back if they are to make a genuine Stanley Cup push.
