Leafs fan favourite Wayne Simmonds has just made the headlines, signing a one-day deal with the Philadelphia Flyers in order to retire in the City where he spent the majority of his career. The move is a celebratory one where the Flyers will honour Simmonds at their game on April 13th.

The Flyers will sign Wayne Simmonds to a one-day contract and celebrate his career on Saturday, April 13 at @WellsFargoCtr.
Simmonds spent 8 seasons with the Flyers from 2011-2019. He has played in 1037 career NHL games, recording 526 points. He was a fan favourite in Toronto, being from the City.
