Unsurprisingly when it comes to Toronto Maple Leafs games, there was no shortage of controversy, with one of the worst no-calls in recent memory. That call came when John Tavares was working with the puck around the net when he was slashed by Jacob Slavin, and while the officials blew the whistle, it was followed up with... nothing.
so they blew the whistle but didn't call anything
Even the most passionate haters of the Maple Leafs have to see the clear slash there, and with the Leafs having all the momentum on the power play, the officials took it away by stopping play and then making no call. The no-call wasn't elaborated upon by the league after the game, and we are yet to hear anything from them, so while some claim the league are Toronto biased, this is a clear example of the exact opposite.
